The Guild of Food Writers Awards 2026 – Food Podcast or Broadcast Award sponsored by ANICAV

The Guild of Food Writers has announced the finalists for the 2026 Guild of Food Writers Awards, celebrating the very best in food writing, broadcasting and culinary storytelling across the UK and beyond.

Widely regarded as one of the most respected honours in the food industry, the annual awards recognise outstanding talent across journalism, books, broadcasting and digital media. This year’s shortlist shines a spotlight on both rising stars and established names, reflecting the continued strength and diversity of the food media landscape.

The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 3 June 2026 at Royal Institution in central London, with presentations held in the venue’s historic theatre.

Among the shortlisted names are emerging voices including Anna Ansari, Dan O’Regan and Jenny Lau, alongside leading figures from the food world such as Jimi Famuwera, Dan Saladino and Grace Dent.

The Food Podcast or Broadcast Award, sponsored by ANICAV, features a strong shortlist of programmes exploring food, culture and global culinary traditions. Finalists include Mr Lyan’s Taste Trips, presented by Ryan Chetiyawardana and produced by Jonny Dixon, Hebridean Baker: Nordic Islands by Coinneach MacLeod, and The Food Programme: Why Is Africa Feeding Us? produced and presented by Dan Saladino.

The Guild of Food Writers Awards continue to highlight the creativity, expertise and influence of food communicators at a time when audiences are increasingly engaged with stories around sustainability, culture, farming and global cuisine.
